About us

Fabulous Threads began in 2022. After closing my gallery in Norwich after five years, I found myself in need of inspiration. Facing a creative block, I turned to my old sketchbooks from university and rediscovered my love for printmaking and working with various mediums within textiles. With a passion for the outdoors and gardening, I sought a way to combine the two. This led me to eco-printing and natural dyeing, which sparked a newfound creative journey. I discovered the magic of spinning, weaving, and exploring natural forms, textures, and dyes through plants and fibres. It became my mission to delve into and share the joy of textiles, showcasing how this broad field goes far beyond fashion and dressmaking.

Our philosophy

Fabulous Threads is about empowering others with the confidence and skills to explore and push the boundaries of what textiles can be. Reducing, recycling, and focusing on sustainability are at the forefront of all workshops. We aim to challenge stereotypes about sewing classes and working with tools traditionally used for making clothes and soft furnishings. The vision for Fabulous Threads is to provide affordable tuition within the community, making it accessible to people of all abilities.
